Ok, here is the latest update for those whom have expressed interest in watching me on pins and needles
Moses is available and I am the first person to inquire about that hunk o' boxer love. I was given the contact info to the foster home he is at and sent an e-mail and am awaiting a response.
It seems he was purchased by a young guy who moved to an apartment and pets where not allowed there. He contacted the rescue but in the mean time Moses was shipped from friend to friend. None wanted to keep him so the rescue kept in contact and finally received him from the last owner. The good news is the last owner had young kids (one was a toddler) and Moses was great with them (the foster mom saw this first hand on a visit).
Moses knows basic commands like sit and such but has not had any real training from anyone with a clue. He has not been abused, just confused. In the words of the lady I talked to from the Rescue, he has been passed around like moonshine at a hoedown, rofl.
Moses is supposed to be big and strong (hrm, sounds like Jedi) and is being introduced to a Gentle Leader by his loving foster mom. I think this is great, because I use one on Jedi for walks and I swear by them.
Eventually I plan on finishing my leash training with just a collar and lead, but that has been hard with knee surgery and no long walks allowed for most of this summer.
Moses is submissive, it seems when another dog gives him a correction he falls into line immediately. I don't see this being an issue, because Jedi is not submissive, but he is pretty laid back for his overall attitude.
Oh well, that is all the news that is fit to post for now. More as I find out myself.
