New Baby Boy!

So my husband and I have a deposit down on our puppy who was just born last week! He'll be coming home in June, and we really want to know what we're going to name him so the breeder can start calling him that. With our female boxer we went with a boxer name (Ali) and this time we want a German name because he's half German. Any suggestions would be great. He's going to be a big dog since his dad is 100 and mom is 70, so anything that means protector, strong..and so on would be great! Thanks

I understand wanting the german name for your new pup. I was doing the same thing when I found Arabella, which is actually Italian, and means answered prayer. She too has a german parent. I did find from a quick search online three possibilities, Adalhard (noble & strong), Baldur (bold), and Gerhard (strong spear). If you don't like any of those, you can do your own search. Just put in German male names, or german male dog names. Good luck and congratulations on your new pup!

Congrats on the puppy!

I named my puppy Karsen. I'm not sure if that's German. My other dog a Rottweiler is named Klaus and I know that is.

Have you looked at any baby name sites? They usually give the meaning and origin of the name.

I actually got Karsen's name from a baby book I was looking for a K name.
