New 4 month old foster puppy - Belle

My previous foster, Rogue, went to his forever home right at the end of December. He is doing wonderful!

I picked up my new foster, Belle, yesterday. She just turned 4 months old and she is adorable! The other boxer in her previous home was beating her up - she has scars on her head. Belle was kept outside a lot - we have been working hard on housetraining and learning what a collar and leash is for! I'm guessing she will find her new home quickly - she is a great little girl! I have attached some pics.

She is just adorable! I love her dark brindle color. Who couldn't fall in love with a cutie pie like that. Is it hard to let them go after you have had them a while, have you ever kept a foster? That would be my problem, I'm afraid I'd wind up with a house full of them!

I must admit my whole experience with Pepsi and fostering/adopting him has made me want to help more pups!! I can see why you do it... my only problem is like the previous post said i would hate to get rid of them!!!

Any thoughts on how i could possibly help AABR??

Is it hard to let them go after you have had them a while, have you ever kept a foster? That would be my problem, I'm afraid I'd wind up with a house full of them!

It is definitely difficult to let them go, but I know they are going to wonderful, forever homes. When I foster, I am always very particular about the homes they go to. I have had 11 wonderful foster dogs! I did keep one of my fosters. Bianca was a 10 month old deaf girl that I fostered - and she permanently joined our home after a few weeks with us! I know that the limit for us is three dogs, which makes it a little easier to place them into homes. I love to receive updates and pictures from their new homes - it makes it all worthwhile!

I talked to a home the day I picked Belle up - and they are planning to meet her on Saturday for adoption. They will be driving 9 hours from Massachusetts, staying overnight in Maryland, and driving home with Belle the next day. They seem like a wonderful match for her! We will really miss Belle. Puppies are a lot of work, but she keeps us laughing!
