Flash was neutered on Monday. He was scheduled to be neutered a month ago, but he conveniently got sick. I think he knew what was coming and got sick on purpose. Anyway, I didn't really know what to expect either but it went better than I imagined. I dropped him off at 9 in the morning and picked him up that evening at 6pm. He was already wide awake and didn't seem to have any discomfort. I opted for the pain medication. I can't believe it was even optional! By day two he was his old self. I had to take him back this morning for an e-collar because he keeps wanting to lick the area.
