Just want to give another set of updates.

Yesterday after 3 days of medicines to lessen the inflammation of the blocked vein, there was still no response on her lower limbs ... its now less than 20% chance that she can walk ...

she also cannot really poop and pee on her own thats why she still has the catheter and for the poop ... according to the doc ... its like the poop will be pushed across her bowel tunnel until the pipe is full so the first poop will come out ...

I guess the doctor was anticipating that I will break down so he gave me a ray of hope ... he said that we should try acupuncture and he will even continue the steriods for another 2 weeks just to be sure ...

by the way we found the name of the disease ... its ISCHEMIC MYELOPATHY ...

today, she had her first acupuncture session ... we are still hoping and still asking for more positive vibes to all you boxer lovers out there ...

your support to my baby even from so far away is helping her more than you all know so thank you so much ...

Still Hoping for that Ray of Light,
Aimee's Mom

Aimee's Mom...hang in there! I am so sorry this has been such a struggle for you all. We will keep hoping for you and sending positive thoughts your way. I do have one suggestion, that even to me sounds a little bit crazy, because I have just recently learned about it, but maybe ask your vet about something called Wobenzym N? It is basically a combination of natural digestive enzymes, but they are enteric-coated so that when you give them on an empty stomach, they don't break down until they are in the small intestine. From there, the theory is by getting into the bloodstream, they reduce all kinds of inflammation. I suggest looking into it for a number of reasons...obviously, the inflammation reduction, but also, I remember reading that it has some blood-thinning properties that you have to be careful of...but in your case, it seems that might actually be a good thing, if it helped to break up that clot? I am not one to jump all over a 'miracle cure' claiming product, but since you have been forced by the limits of traditional medicine into seeking alternative options, maybe this one is worth investigating? I guess I am just thinking...if it came down to your needing a 'hail Mary pass'...it would certainly be worth a try. It's OTC, by the way, but spendy.

Good luck, and please keep us posted on your sweet girl!
