Need some prayers for my baby...

I don't get much of a chance to get on here as much as I'd like but I really need the support of all boxer lovers. My husband & I found a lump on Cody's side. It's the size of a small marble. At first, it just looked like his fur had been rubbed back but we noticed it never went down. Our vet told us we deserve a medal for noticing it. I had to point it out to her when I took him to the vet. They are going to remove it on Wednesday and send it off to pathology. Cody is our "firstborn" and big brother to our 10 month old baby Connor. I'll just lose it if it comes back cancerous. He's as playful as ever (he'll be 8 in Feb), eats & drinks just as much as usual. So I hope he'll be okay. Please send a little prayer up for us. Thanks everyone.

Try not to worry. Boxers get lots of lumps and bumps. Most of them are benign. My old Max had lots, over the years, and he lived to the ripe old age of 12 and a half.

Even if it is something more sinister, early detection and removal usually sorts out the problem.

I understand how worried you must be but try to think positive thoughts. Rocky had a couple of lumps removed and they were benign. Of course our first thought is always the worst but like others have said too, that isn't always the case. Thank goodness you are so observant and had it checked out. Please keep us posted on how Cody is doing. Ozzy and I want to send best wishes and lots of hugs and kisses to Cody.
