Hi all,
with our little bundle of slobber and joy soon to be arriving (due date Oct 27th) my husband and I have been throwing names back and forth and have narrowed it down to a few, we'd like to get all your input on it since I couldn't think of anyone else who had such wonderful creative names for their little ones. Since the baby isn't born yet we aren't sure what it's going to look like, or even if it'll be a boy or girl! Both the dam and sire are fawn though so we're betting on a fawn- couldn't tell you if we're hoping for a boy or girl it flips every day! Here are the names that we've come up with please let us know your opinions don't hold back we're trusting you here :D
for a girl: Kali Ma, Freya, Ishtar, Sigyn, Hecate, Theron, Viraj, and Ti Malice
for a boy: Thantos, Anansi, Eshu, Samedi, Baldr, and Nergal

They're all mythology names, we already have a kitten named Loki so we think it would fit. Almost all the names are either Earth goddesses, tricksters, or in charge of destruction (destroyers and tricksters... boxers anyone?) If you can think of any others that might fit please throw it out I know we didn't think of everyone and we wouldn't want to offend any nearby deities...

lol our Loki is female, it just suited her so well it sounds like such a cute tiny little name, and she reeeeaaaally grew into it, trickster is the nicest way I could put it. DH is convinced she's plotting against him.

As superstitious as it sounds I do think they grow into there names. I had a horse as a kid named Baby and God she was the biggest baby ever. Scared of everything, high maintenence. My step son has a Morgan named Witchata Brave and he is a good solid citezen. Never spooks.

So think twice before you go with Chewy.....

hm maybe we should leave out the destruction gods, Loki already tears up anything that she can get her evil little paws on <3...

How about Adonis (means lordly) for a male and Pandora (means gift) for a girl?

I also like Eros (means love) could be either or I think.

I think you should wait and meet the pup first. Personality will play a huge role in the name game...or it doe with me anyway. I like all the names-especially Freya and Baldyr

I love the name Pandora, it's so pretty too bad my friend would never let me live it down if we used it- she jealously guards her favorite names lol if she lived up to it we would have a real mess too, the cat is mad for boxes I can just imagine the puppy getting smacked one day for opening a box Loki didn't want opened....
sidhewlf you're right we should wait, it's just sooooo hard to do, especially having so very long to wait for- 72 days and counting....

I'm thinking I'll name my boy Spyder. :) It sounds kind of tough and no other dog is going to have the same name!
I thought about Roxy a lot when I was thinking about getting a girl, and I've realized that it's a very popular name!
I like th mythology idea. My brother-in-law has a pup named Tahoe, I think that's cute. Rugged. :)
