We are into cars, motorcycles, etc and that came into play when we named or current 2 year old TURBO. Now we are struggling with a name for the new male pup we are bringing home this weekend. I don't want a name that is too common like Duke, Max, etc and would like to incorporate our hobby into it if we could. Have to think about something that doesn't sound dorky if you had to call his name out in public.

Considered:
-Diesel: a type of engine of German design (google search)
-Zemke: last name (German desent) of Motorcycle racer
-Auto: one of the characters in the movie "Gone in 60 seconds"

Any other ideas? Don't want a really long name.

TIA

I'm kinda liking Nitro... It fits well with Turbo!

I thought Nitro sounded good to when I read the suggestions.:)

Please keep us posted when you decide.

First of all, I really like the name Turbo. And i really like SadieLu's suggestion of Charger. Let us know what you decide.

I have thought of a couple of those, I guess it's so hard for me to make a decision. Turbo seemed to work out because it sounded good, is an expesive modification, and of course automotive related...but it's definition fits well too being that Boxers are such high energy dogs and mine can haul when he's chasing me :) I have also thought about Gixxer, which is the nick name for a Suzuki GSX-R sportbike and it sounds kind of cool too. One guy on here already has BUSA. Diesel might be a perfect name despite the fact that I have seen that name on here a few times and I like to be more original. My pups mom was 65 lbs and the dad 85, and he is the biggest one in the litter (why I picked him, among other reasons). When I think Diesel of course I think of a bigger more powerful truck than the average, it is auto related, and its definition from a goole search said " type of engine of German design" and boxers orginated in Germany right? Soooo.....what do you guys think?

oh, i have another name related question. I have seen lots of people on here asking about AKC names. Do you really have to be that creative with a long name? Could you just put the dogs name and your last name???
