I have a 8 week old white half boxer, and I was feeding him Purina puppy chow, but I have been looking around and discovered that Purina really isn't as good for my Oliver as I thought it was. Can I get some ideas of what may be better to feed Oliver. I do not have a whole lot of money at the moment because I just recently lost my job, but I do not want this to affect how my baby is fed, so I'm looking for a somewhat cheap but very healthy food for my boxer.

Thanks for any and all replies I may get.

There is a dog food advisor board that provides a rating of the dog food from 1 star to 5 stars. I tried to provide the link to this post but kept getting an error message.

Other boxer owners said it would best for my dog to be on a 4 star or 5 star dog food.

I am on a limited income too so although I wanted to get the best food possible I also wanted something that would be good for her. I choose Blue Buffalo to feed her. I know some boxers cannot handle grain but we were lucky that Layla can eat the Lamb & Rice formula.

Although the food is more expensive than the Diamond food I had been feeding her she also eats less of this. Blue Buffalo is a 4 star dog food.

I've always had really good results with Taste of the Wild Prairie formula. Compared to other premium foods it's well-priced (45-50 bucks for a 30 pound bag) and my boxer has never had any issues with it.

I order it on Amazon and it arrives two days later with free shipping. Can't beat that.
