 Hi I have a three year old boxer, I have had her as a pup it was about 5 weeks ago that daz (the boxer) tried to dominate my one year old. Started when my one year old started to walk. Daz was fine when she was crawling around but this is what happens.
One day the baby walked next to her in the kitchen next to my wife and the dog went after the baby pined her to the floor growling at her and trying to bite her neck. Like daz was playing with a dog, the next time the dog was sleeping and the baby walked up to daz and she started to growl at her, the next time the dog, the baby and I was playing on the floor the dog started to eat her bone and the baby started to take the bone from the dog and the dog growled at her so I took the bone from her and daz growled at me she has never done that to me! We can take anything away from her and she will not do noting but wait to get it back. The next time I was in the kitchen cooking myself something to eat. The dog was around the baby and me. The baby walked up to me. The dog started to look at her and going up to her and stood next to her next daz got really stiff as in the boxer stand. Daz started to sniff her face then started to growl and going after her neck again and tiring to pin her to the floor.
Now when it first started we tried to get the baby to give daz her treats. Playing ball with the baby and myself we have just tried it all.
So now we took Daz to the vet and they found noting wrong with her. But they said to try a trainer and the baby. So my wife and I started to talk and we both think that a trainer is going to do anything more then we are doing now showing daz that the baby is not a threat to her.
Well from there we started talking about getting her a new home before we are not there and something does happen. What do all of you think?
