I'm in a similar boat... here are some (well, its turned out to be a lot) I've been thinking on lately. Just to preface some of them, I'm a bit of a history nerd--only problem, I usually think of the villians in history. Also a big sports (Auburn) fan.

Custer (after General Custer)
Rosie (short for Roosevelt)
Bo (after Bo Jackson-auburn footbal player)
Dansby (after Karlos Dansby-auburn football player)
Shug (Auburn football coach)
Atticus (after Atticus Finch from To Kill A Mockingbird)
Holden (Holden Caulfield from Catcher in the Rye)
Madison (President)
Zopon (I have a student named that... kind of a cool name)
Ceasar
Emma (but I really like that name--could be a child's name one day, scared of it for that reason)
Sammy

Thats just a few for ya. I'd love to hear what you've thought of.

I am definitely partial to people names...

Lila (the lily), Lola (feminine), Bryn (strong), Abigail (father's joy), Addie (noble and kind spirit), Alaina (loved child), Alexandra (defender of mankind), Allie (protector of mankind), Arlie (promise), Belle (beautiful), Eden (delightful), Eva (life)...I could go on and on! I like names with a personal meaning.

Some name advice

Just some food for thought when choosing any dog's name. It shouldn't be a name that one day you may want to name a skin-baby, nor should it be a "family name" (that in itself could become offensive--bothways)! Also, keep in mind that this will be a name that you may have to use firmly and quickly during training. Make sure its not a name that you should be ashamed to say within ear-shot of your neighbors. I have found that no matter what you put on registration papers the name will constantly evolve into some loving, ridiculous nickname anyway. But I think Charisma is an awesome name for a fur-baby girl. Everyone on this site knows that boxers sure have enough of it on their own!!! Good Luck!

Wait till you get your baby and can get to know her. Her personality will come through and you will know exactly what you should name her. =)
