Need help in picking out new dog food...6 months boxer female

Hello,

I have a 6 month old female boxer...I was feeding her blue buffalo lamb/oatmeal for puppies..after a month she started to get loose stools and throw up her food hours later..She must been allergic to blue buffalo food...I took her to the vet and they give me Prescription Diet i/d® Canine Gastrointestinal Health, which she eats and has normal stools and does not throw up her food at all..To get her to eat it takes a while, before with the blue buffalo she will eat up everything...Ive been feeding her this food for about a month now, any suggestion on which regular dog food to give??

when i got my first female, she had loose stools for about the first 4 months. After trying many different types including blue buffalo, we came upon Taste of the Wild Salmon version and it was like night and day for her. No more diarrhea and all the digestive problems virtually stopped instantly.
Taste of the Wild is grain free and in my area is 47 dollars for like a 26-30 pound bag, so its pretty similar in price to blue buffalo

I brought fromm dog food, it almost about $70 for 26lb, but she does eat everything and her stool come out good. Hopefully, this will do the job...Its grain free too..

Did you switch cold turkey? That can cause problems - hopefully it won't for your pup, if you did.

Dempsey also does well on TOTW Pacific Stream, as mentioned by MyaandLaney. I've heard good things about Blue Buffalo Freedom, which is grain free (as long as your pup can eat chicken). The grains in the other BB you fed most likely caused your pup's issues. Boxers usually don't do well with grains.

Layla does not seem to have a problem with grains. She currently eats Blue Bufflao Lamb & Oatmeal and does fine with solid stools.

I hope you are able to find the right food for your puppy.
