Tyson's Surgery
Tyson has his lump removed on friday, we have had to watch him carefully since he was unable to have the wound stitched up because it was on his ear. It got a little infected but is doing better now. The vet is 99.999% sure that it is a hystiocytoma (sp?) but we had it sent off for testing to be sure. We find out the results later this week. He is healing nicely and got a nice treat of boiled chicken and rice when he got home since I assumed he would feel a little sick from the anesthetic and not eating since the night before. I also mixed some yogourt in with it for him. He enjoyed it greatly. I have caught him scratching his ear a few times and he usually cries when he does so I run over and tell him "nonononono! Tyson stop it!" and gently scratch his neck and ears for him. I dont want it to get infected again, and I am using Bactroban on it so band aids wont stick! poor little monster!

results
we got the results from the lump we had sent off.. it was a hystiocytoma. The doctor is happy and Tyson is healing up well, we just have to keep him from scratching it!
