Need a flea/tick preventative

Fyi guys pet armour pulled from shelves last sat. Due to patent infringment. Also ther ewas questions about the efficacy. The non active ingredrient was diff from frontline and didn't
work well.

I use Frontline plus for fleas/ticks and Interceptor for heartworm prevention.

I use the same for my two, and it works even when we go tracking. I find a tick once in a great while on myself, but never any on either dog.

I use Revolution on my 2. Works great, haven't seen a single flea on them. I like that it has the heartworm preventative in it too, makes it much easier to just have one thing a month for them.

Last year I had a horrible flea problem, and I was treating them with Frontline Plus. It didn't work on them at all! I will always use Revolution unless it stops working! I was using the Frontline Plus on the kitties too, and some of them had fleas too!

Frontline did not do the job, so I switched to Advantix - I have not seen anything on her at all. I also use Heartguard Plus.

Totally off topic-
You do tracking with your boxers? I'm trying to find an intro type class or club in my area to give it a try. How did you get started? We've done a few nosework classes and workshops, he really seems to enjoy it.

I am also an Advantix fan because of the fact that it repels mosquitos. I missed it one month and my dog got covered in bug bites. Then I use Heartgard Plus for heartworm prevention which also helps with a couple intestinal parasites which is a huge benefit.

Dawn dish soap (the blue kind) is something that everyone should have in their household if they have pets. That product is safe to use on your animals and will get anything off of their skin. Including any of these products we are discussing. If your pooch has any type of reaction to these products use Dawn immediately to wash it off.

I decided on Interceptor and Frontline for now. Since Interceptor has the same medicine as Sentinel minus the flea stuff I that would be an easy switch. We are gonna try Frontline. I ordered 2 months worth. If doesn't work i'll switch to something else. Thanks for all the suggestions!

Not sure if your boxer pups/adults do this, but my pup love laying on his back. Last night I put the Frontline Plus on him, got the grease spot between his shoulder blades, and of course he decided to lay on his back, and the grease spot is no longer there, .

What have you done or can do to prevent this?
