Is anyone interested in having a bash one of those days?? I know we had a thread started earlier but then it died out and was mainly geared towards Chicago. I haven't been to any other dog parks besides this one and there is plenty of room to run around and we've been told there's a creek somewhere in the park.

We have a male boxer is who almost a year now and loves to play. Even if you don't have a boxer yet, come anyways! If anyone's interested, let us know! :)

We'd be interested in making the drive out from the city. The 17th would work better for us, but depending on the time, we might be available on the 18th. Keep us posted. I'm sure Chula would love to play with some other boxers.

Would love to

My husband and I would love to join you guys. We won't have our puppy by then but it'd be nice to meet you all, and meet more Boxers :) Sunday is the best day for us, but we could make it on Saturday the 17th also - I can probably take the afternoon off work.

I will write to Becca, a fellow BW member, and ask her if she's interested. I'll also email another family I recently met who has a 7mo old Boxer. I'll let ya know what they say.

Naperville is about 45 minutes from me, but I'd love to join in. Softball and swimming will be over by then so my weekends will be free.

My only question is, our local dog park requires a permit to use the park, is the one you're proposing free to anyone? It probably is, our village just likes to milk money whenever they can, lol.

Thanks for the thread!

This dog park doesn't require a permit or anything. I did hear about some that do. Here's the information about this dog park:

Its called Springbrook Prairie.
It's one-half mile south of 75th street on the east side of the street.
There's a park on both sides of the street but this one will actually say "Dog Exercise Field"
(630)933-7248

I'm glad we have some people already that want to go! Its hard for us to schedule things like this because we both have rotating shifts and no set days off with our job.

I was thinking that if this turns out real well, maybe we can set one up at least once a month. We can do them at differant locations so we can even out the drive for some of us. :)

If anyone else is interested in this bash, let us know. :)

I would definitely be in for the once a month thing. Although severe weather conditions in the winter might be a bit of a problem hehe.

I also wanted to add - is this a fenced in park?

Fenced in??? I can't really remember. I've only been there a few times. I know the main area where they play is further in the back away from the street. They'd have to run down a long path and past trees to get to the road so it's pretty safe I'd say.

Vote for the date

Okie dokie, that sounds safe enough.

So now we need to decide the exact day so that I can invite some people I know of who have Boxers. There are 2 I can email and then there are 2 other families that my neighbor knows - if that's ok with you guys (or would you rather just people from BW)?

Anyway, I vote for Sunday the 18th!

How about you guys?

Invite everyone! Sunday works for us also.
-Chula, will Sunday be ok?

Just in case that Naperville Park gets closed, we can switch it to the one that my boyfriend just posted about earlier today.

Hopefully it's not really hot or raining. We're open to what ever times, maybe the morning would be better around 10am?? Before it gets too hot?? Anyone set of a specific time??

The 17th works better for us, what Time?
Leah will love to come out and play, she will be 4 months then.
