That stinks! Well hopefully that you will have your baby by July. I went to the Doggy Park in Naperville and I brought my baby Madalynn there and I was really inpressed with the park. It is really cool for puppy socialization. She had a great time and so did I. I plan on taking her at least 2x's a week if I can. It is great for puppies to see other dogs and all. When you get your baby, my Madalynn will be 5 months at that time. She was born on Valentines day!!!! So she is a special girl. Let me know what happens. Do you have all the things you need for your new baby? Talk to you later!

Well we finally just got GREAT news today from one of our potential breeders! The puppies were born, and one of them is a fawn male - what we were hoping for. And on top of that, the way she described him is just what we have been picturing - it's amazing. We have a great feeling about this - we found our baby! We will be getting him just in time for my (Val) birthday - July 8th. I think it was meant to be hehe. Anyways, once we get him we would love to meet up with you guys so Tyson (I think that's what we're gonna call him. Not very original we know, but we like it hehe) can make some friends. We'll keep you posted and put some pictures up once we get em.

I think that is great that you are finally getting your baby! Madalynn has been such great joy. She is 3 months old now and already 21lbs. Her parents were really big. Father was 77lbs and Momma was 71lbs. They weren't fat either. They were just a GIANT sized boxer. Madalynn has been allot of fun to watch when gets in her psyco moods and runs around the living room like a crazy pooch. You defently have to let me know when you get him and we defently need to have them two meet. Here is my e-mail address:Emtchick75@yahoo.com. Hope to talk to you soon. Have a great one guys!

Haha I can imagine how funny it must be to see your lil girl zippin around like a maniac - I am looking forward to those days lol. I will definitely keep you posted and email you. So far everything is going well. I am so glad our breeder gave us first pick because she only had 1 fawn male, which is what we really wanted. I think it was meant to be and I am glad we waited for him :p

Btw, I better ask my breeder how much Tyson/Chance's (now we are deciding between those 2 names lol) parents weigh, so I have a rough idea of how big he is going to get. I think we are going to buy a 42inch crate with a divider - what do you think?

Well to be honest with you, I got a crate from Wal-Mart. It was the smallest one. I only crated her for the first 3 weeks I had her. I havent crated her in like 4 weeks. She has been doing really good. I let her have the roam of the house. I make sure that I unplug everything before I leave for work. I put up her food and water bowl and leave alot of chew toys around. I have her on a feeding schedule. She eats in the morning after she goes outside to potty (like around 6am). After she eats I take her food and water bowl away from her. I take her out before I leave for work (7:45am) and then she poops and pees. When I get home, I take her out (5:30pm) and she does her job and the she eats again. She has been getting better. She knows to poop and pee (if she has to) by the front door. I got her one of those cow bells from PetsMart on put it on the door. Everytime we go out (doesn't matter for a walk, play, or potty) I ring the bell. She knows now to ring the bell when I am at home. I have noticed that since I have not crated her during the day she is alot calmer and is not a spaz. When I used to crate her she was like out of control. If you have patience for the the accidents in your home, I have been having much luck with her not in the crate. Of course when I leave I close all the doors, bedroom, closets, and bathrooms. She mostly stays down stairs. Madalynn has been really good with the non-crating. She also has been extremly good with not cheewing the couch, and other stuf. (got the non-chew spray. really helps). When you get your precious baby, I will more than willing to talk if you have questions. Cause it is hard when I first got her to find another boxer owner. Hope to talk to you soon!

Given me something to think about

Hmm I never thought about not crating, but I will have to think about it after what you said. Which spray product are you using? I know some people have said theirs didn't work, so I wanna get a good one. Definitely don't want him chewing the sofa and furniture. If he does though we won't be too upset cause we're prepared for it. We were wanting to get a new sofa anyway, but are going to wait till he is old enough of course! I am very glad I found a fellow Boxer owner in my area, I think you're gonna be hearing from me quite a lot Becca! :p

I am excited that you have someone to talk to about your boxer baby. I really didn't have anyone to talk to as well. I just posted allot of forums on this sight and well, I really didn't find anyone close to me. I meet someone that has a full grown fawn male boxer. We meet at the Naperville Doggy Park one time. But the spray, I bought some stuff, but then I mixed vinegar and water. 60% vinegar and 40% water. They do not like the taste of it. I do not even like the taste of it myself. So I do not think that a puupy will. You will notice though, what a difference in your dog if you do not crate him. I have a few friends that have dogs (different breeds) andsome crate and some do not. I found out that the ones that are crated are like spaz dogs and are like super hyper. I think that I would be if I was in a crate for 8 hours out of the day. I also wanted to let Madalynn know that my house is her house too. When she gets older she will not damage certain items in my house. But if you start to crate your dog and lets say he is a year old and you decide to let him have the roam of the house one day while you are at work, He will destroy EVERYTHING! cause he doesnt know what its like to be outside his crate for 8 hours. I hope that you can see where I am getting at here. I to have and old couch. I am going to wait untill Madalynn is older before I get a new couch. Maybe when she is out of the potty training and the teething stage. Shes getting threw that. I bought the best chew toy for her. Its by Purina and its called Chew-Eez. They are in a blue box. They chew on that thing for like hours and hours. Gives them nice smelling breath and cleans there teeth at the same time and they LOVE THEM! I want to be help for you when you get your new baby. And when you do get him, I would like to meet him and you can meet Madalynn!. I gave you my e-mail address for a reason. Just incase you have some questions! I am here to help you!. Well nice chatting to you and hope everything is well.
