Myrtle Beach Bike Week Bound

This will be Harli's 4th bike week(fall 03, spring 04, fall 04, and now spring 05).
We are very lucky we have friends that live there. It is so much nicer than staying in a hotel. She can play in their yard. Our friends two sons (teenagers) love to walk Harli in their neighborhood. Our friend has asked them why they don't walk their dog. They said that Harli is "cooler" than their dog.

Off the subjest....It is good to know that there is another boxer/Harley person on here. We are planning on going to Myrtle beach next year for bike week. This year we went to Phoenix for a week. But I am excited to go to the east coast next year. I have nexr been out east.
Darby just loves to hear the harley start up. She even looks out the window everytime one goes by the house. We joke all the time that we should get a side car just so she can go with us for rides !

We are Harley riders too! Never made Myrtle Beach but we do go to Daytona each year. Last year we each rode our own bikes to Sturgis! Love to ride. Check out my avatar. That was a trailer we had for Brit. We hope to have Tug in it soon. Brit loved to ride motorcycles too.

My husband went years ago, I would like to go with him next year, as long as we can find a sitter. He just bought a new bike a month or so ago and I think I am going to take my course next month. That trailer is too cool, I don't know how Killian would react tho. He gets so excited when the bike is running, he tries to bite the tires and wants to chase it. We go on a lot of ralleys with our MINI's but we haven't been on a Harley one in years. It can be hard to get away with a little one.

Hey I forgot about Sturgis. I think we are going this year. When it gets closer to August I will try to remember to post something so maybe some of us could meet. I have never been there but hubby has and said it was a blast. We would not be taking our boxer but I have lots of picture I could show people.

We too have a Harley. We were supposed to go to Myrtle Beach this year, but the plans fell through unfortunately. Muggsey does not like the bike. He freaks out whenever we start it. He also wants to bite the tires if he is outside when hubby goes to leave on it! This year, we are just going to go to rallies that are w/in an hour or so from us, and then in September we are going to go to Maryland and stay over for that one. Hopefully next year we can get to Myrtle Beach and maybe Daytona! Have a great time!

So did those of you who came here for bike week have a good time? Ginger is terrified of motorcycles!! Our neighbor drives a Harley & it always freaks her out! Now it's time for the other bike week. The ninja/crotch rockets are coming in now. I personally like harley week alot better! The crowd isn't as wild & crazy! My DH is a firefighter & I've heard a few crazy things that have happend in the past. Btw I have never in my life driven or even touched any type of motorcyle. I do hear they are fun. I'd be too scared to ride one down here with all the traffic though. I'm too afraid I'll fall off too.

Have a great time in Myrtle Beach! Yes, Harleys and boxers are both VERY addicting. Riding the bike is the one thing DH and I do without the kids. Our 3 year old will see a motorcycle go by and ask if it's a Harley or a little girl bike? Thankfully our Yamaha riding friend found humor in it when she said it in front of him-he teases us just as bad about always having to fix something on our Harley, but hey, we look (and sound) better going down the road ha-ha!!!!
