Here are a few pics of my second foster, Jamus. He is an adorable boxer mix puppy that was found as a stray in an alleyway. Jamus is around 7 months old.

His rear leg is swollen and we are off to the vets on Wednesday. He limps on it occasionally when running and seems to walk crooked on it. I wonder if it is an old injury that healed incorrectly. Hopefully, they will be able to figure out what is wrong and help him quickly to walk better!

He's cute! It looks like he's got some pit in him. I hope the leg is an easy fix & he finds his forever home soon! keep us posted...

What a sweet boy! Looks like a bit of pit in him to me too. Hopefully all will turn out well for Janus. It's surely time for a happy story.

I think he is mostly pit bull or AmStaff - he reminds me a lot of my Hannah in the way he looks. He is settling in really well and is such a cute boy. Here are two pics from this morning:

The vet took two x-rays of his leg on Wednesday. He had fractured and dislocated the bones in his ankle. Jamus would have been in significant pain and would not have been able to use his leg at all. The leg has healed to a point where there isn't anything my vet's office can do. If something further is done, it would have to be by a skilled orthopedic surgeon.

I am to watch and make sure nothing gets worse - but Jamus is allowed normal activity. He runs and plays like a typical puppy. At times, he will limp - but it could be partially from habit of not being able to put weight on that leg before it healed.

Hopefully, his leg won't hinder people wanting to adopt him because he is such a good boy. He is very eager to please and picks up things really quickly. It is going to be really hard to let this sweet boy go!

He looks really beautiful. Do you only foster or could you not keep him.? I hope whatever happens to him it's good news. Bruno sends Jamus lots of sloppy kisses.

I'm only fostering him for a rescue. I wish I could keep him, but then I wouldn't be able to foster anymore because I wouldn't have the room or time for 4 dogs. Having three dogs (one of them a playful puppy!) has been challenging.

He is not listed yet on the rescue's website, but hopefully he will be placed on there soon. My job is to make sure he gets adopted into a great home!
