My Roxie & Bailey

Good Morning! I just joined Boxer World, but have been reading some of the forums Q & A. My folks raised boxers when I was a kid, and I have a wonderful boxer mix, Roxie who is 9 years old and has a cancerous tumor which cannot be resolved. I have just added a new "super" guy to my house, Bailey a flashy brindle. He's a wonderful guy, so smart and loving! He's such a pal to my Roxie, loves her to death and she's like a new grandma with him. I can't imagine why in the world I waited so long to add another boxer to my home. They are the best of the best as far as I'm concerned.
Well, enough bragging - got to take my "kids" for a walk.

Thanks for your warm welcome.
Bailey is doing great - he's 27 pounds at 14 weeks and not a pound of fat on him. He is really going to be big, but soooooo sweet.
Roxie topped out at 95 pounds, before the tumor, but is holding her own and is actually feeling much better since Bailey arrived. I have not had to put her on her pain medication for about two weeks. It makes her so sick she can't eat and tends to vomit a lot. But she's really happy now with someone to play with and to play grandma to. Besides the tumor, she has severe arthritis in both back hips, but she is playing and having a good ol' time now with Bailey. He is so gentle with her - saves all his rough housing for my husband and myself. Well, just wanted to say thanks! Will be looking forward to chatting with you all and asking all sorts of advice!
