Rocky's-Mom
Super Boxer
God I knew this would be hard but my heart is absoluely breaking into. Rocky had a terrible night and was up coughing and breathing hard the entire night and crying. Of course I was crying too. We were on the floor , in the bed, on the sofa and he could not rest peacefully. He was coughing up blood. I prayed to God thru the night to give me the strength to let him go. Although he had a small wiggle this am..he didn't want to eat and those big sad eyes just looked at me. I believe that he was holding on because he knew how hard this was for us to let him go. He was one gentle giant as my husband called him. He loved everyone and everyone loved him. I had a long talk with him and told him it was time for him to run and be free of pain. I really feel like I held on too long as it was. With the tumor so large but he was determined to live on but as they say it is the last thing you can do for them. Right now that doesn't make me feel any better. He lay there like a trooper and went very easily looked in my eyes. I know the one poem says stay with me until my eyes no longer see. Hubby and I were both crying our eyes out. This was my empty nest syndrome baby. He was loved so very much and loved us so very much...rest in peace my Little Angel Baby...YOU will ALWAYS be with us in our hearts forever...there will NEVER be another Rocky...we love you so....run free and wait for us......Mom & Dad
