My mother inlaw's dachshund died

The day before yesterday my mother inlaw's minature dachshund Rusty passed away. He has been having alot of health problems. She just had him to the vets last week and he had alot of fluid on his lungs. They removed the fluid and he was feeling better. The morning he died she told us he was acting fine then all of a sudden he could not move. She layed him in his chair and within minutes he was gone. I feel so sorry for my mother inlaw, Rusty was all she had since my father inlaw passed away. Godspeed sweet little guy. I'm sure you are with your daddy now.

Oh I'm so sorry to hear that, to think that she is now totally alone is heartbreaking. I will be praying for her. Run free sweet Rusty.

So sorry for her loss. My parents and I lost our dachshund mix baby last year and it was just devastating. I reminded them over and over that we had given her the absolute best life we could have offered. She was a rescue (found her abandoned on the street) and she had many anxiety issues..so she wouldn't have done well in many homes. But she was a truly amazing companion that offered our family much joy.

Hope your mother in law finds comfort in knowing that Rusty lived a happy and love-filled life and is now not suffering. Again, so sorry for the loss.

Ahha that's so sad!! Sometimes a pet is all that someone has in their lives and when the pet crosses over that person is left alone. I'm so sad for your mom-in law. She must be hurting real bad.
