My little guy Kane who is 10 weeks old is not doing so well. We think he got into something but we're not sure what. We have nothing laying around here. He is walking around like hes drunk. Staggering into walls not responding to his name, clapping or anything. We took him to the vet which is where he is right now. Hes not very active and when he does move his actions are all jerky. Like hes thrashing his head. Hes been fighting so hard to stay awake. So my little guy is a fighter. They tested him for antifreeze right away and it is not that. So right now they are treating him broadly to cover all possibilities. Hes been there now for 3 hours and no phone call from the vet which is good. She said no phone call is good news. There will be someone with him all night. I checked to make sure. She said I can call at anytime to check on him and in return if things go more downhill than they already are she will call me no matter what time it is. Please keep my baby in your prayers tonight and pray that he will be ok. I'm at a loss right now I don't know what I'll do if he doesn't get better.
Does anyone have any ideas what could be the cause of this?

No hes very lethargic and totally out of it. He has no reaction to anything. his only response is every once in awhile if you go to pet him on the head he thrashes his head other than that he just lays there like hes fighting to stay awake.

Well I called the vet and they are thinking it may be something neurological hes not doing any better but hes also not doing any worse. So we're all still at a loss of what could possibly have caused this.
I've taken all the right steps got him from a good breeder that did all the health testing shows her dogs and really loves her dogs as if they were her own fleshen blood children. I'm just at a loss I don't know what to do.
Thanks for all the well wishes everyone I'll keep everyone updated on Kane's progress.

Lots of healing vibes flying your way for your baby boy, Kane, and hoping that he will be OK. Thinking of you, too, as this is a very, very difficult time, and I know you're so worried about your little one. Hang in there.

(((Hugs))) and positive (((Vibes))) for you and Kane

Please keep us updated, it's unbearable when any of our babies are ill and we don't know how to help them. He is in the safest of hands, so try not to worry too much (I know how hard that must be) and stay positive

Well I called the vet this morning right when I woke up to check in on Kane. he is doing a lot better and is more active and he ate some food shes going to make sure he holds it down before she gives him some more. They are going to do a full blood workup this morning and take some xrays and then give me a call in the next couple hours and let me know what the possibilities may be. Hes not out of the woods yet but things are looking up which is good. I called the vet last night before I went to bed and the vet that was there wasn't even sure if Kane was going to make it through the night at that time so this is awesome news. The tech said she ran in there this morning to check on him right when she got to work and it was like he was a totally different dog.
Right now they are thinking either toxins or something genetic. So lets cross our fingers that he just gets better and we can bring him home here real soon. I'll update again after i hear from the vet.

So glad to hear that your little guy is getting better. We just feel so helpless when we don´t know what is wrong with them.

Take care.
