Boxer Pal
Hello my name is Matt. I am married and we have three kids (16, 14, & 10). We live in a small town about about 25 miles outside of Sacramento, California in the US.
My wife had a Boxer as a child and had always told me how wonderful the breed was. About 11 years ago I decided I wanted a dog. I did a lot of research on the various breeds and kept coming back to the Boxer. I purchased Zipper from a breeder. She was a purebred Boxer, but was not AKC registered. Zipper was very much part of our family. She passed away about a year ago from cancer. It was one of the most difficult things I have had to deal and I have not been ready to own another Boxer and just recently started looking.
I purchased Zipper for my birthday 11 years ago and my wife wanted to do the same this year. I have been looking for months for the right breeder and right dog. Two days ago we found both. Our newest family member is four weeks old and lives not too far from us. He does not have a name yet and of course he can't home for another 4 weeks, but we are excited.
We also have another dog. She is a lab/retriever mix. She is a sweet dog who loved Zipper and I hope she welcomes her new friend into our home. Her name is Sugar and is about 6 years old.
