My house is haunted (sorry long)

I myself have never had an experience with any type of unexplainable activity (thank god!) But, I do watch Montel every morning and I have seen Sylvia Brown on there many times. I think that she is the real thing...and just absolutely amazing. Just incase anyone doesn't know who she is, she is a world renowned psychic & and one of the few to actually help solve cold case or even new case files. Anyways she always says that if you are fine living with the ghosts, well then fine. BUT, if they are too bothersome then you should walk around and sprinkle salt and holy water with Christ's consciensness (sp?) telling them to leave your house, and that is supposed to make them leave. Maybe you should try it and see what happens.
I do know of a few ghost stories myself. This one happened to my cousin..she was only about 2 months when my great granmother passed away. I was in the 7th grade. Well, she is about 5 or 6 now and of course has no recollection of my great grandmother at all. One night here with in the past year, my cousin (her father) came into tell her goodnight and she started talking to him about how a lady comes into her room to read her bed time stories. Well, my cousin just went along with it asking what stories she reads, what she looks like, etc. Well, she told my cousin that the lady reads her bible stories and she pointed to the book on her shelf. She then lead her dad out to the living room and pointed at a picture of my great grandmother (the one who passed when she was 2 months). This picture was a VERY old picture and my great grandmother was in her 20's. So, I guess that my great grandma comes to read to her at night. Apparently, she is young and rejuvinated again. Thank god!
I have some more, but they lead back to religion sort of...and I don't want to say anything that I shouldn't.

Ive had a few...

When I was growing up we had a few 'strange' things happen. Often lights would be turned off when we had just turned them on or things would be unplugged when we got up the next morning. One night mum & I came home to find all the doors in the house wide open (were locked when we left) and the cupboard doors all open, every light on, the fridge unplugged and the oven on full with the door open! Mum got the house blessed and it all seemed to stop after that!

Recently another happened. The manager of work died of cancer 2 years ago. She used to live here in this house. I was sitting in the lounge and Storm was looking out the window with her nub going flatout. I thought my flatmate must have been home (she doesn't usually have bum wiggles for strangers on the section) I got up to look out the window and no one was there. Then I heard the gate open so I went outside straight after Storm and she was sitting on the doorstep looking at the wide open gate (she would normally bolt out the gate if someone left it open). The gate has a good latch on it and there is no way it could have opened by itself! I shut it and gave it a good push but it didn't open. I ran out onto the street but no one was anywhere! I told my boss and he said yesterday was 2 years since she (previous manager) passed away. I think she wanted to play with Storm!

Since then Storm has often looked up out the window and started bum wiggling but noone I can see is there. I'm sure it is her & she likes Storm! Storm certainly likes her!

Abcdefamily, mentioned her child saying sarah's face was "black" what do u mean by that.. like a sillowet *i dont know exactly how to spell that. * My best friend said when she was young, she would sleep up stairs with her mom.. her freinds would sleep over and My freind said she would see black images walking around.. and one of her friends told her she wouldn't sleepover anymore unless they slept downstairs because she seen black things walking around, often. Recently she had said she woke up, because she felt like someone came in to her room, (she says she can tell when her parents come check on her) but her parents were not there and a black person type thing, TOTTALY BLACK, like standing next to her bed standing over her. Just curious.. LOL.

My husband has had a black spirit come in his room before we were married. He said the room was black but this "imp" sized things was blacker than that and he could clearly see it but not a face or anything just black. Not long ago in this house, which is only 7 years old, my pup cracker has actedl strangely a few times. The worst was a couple months ago, he ran in here to my office like something was going to hurt him badly. He cannot fit under my desk but he made himself and got WAY back in the corner and was shaking like i have never seen. He stared at the door like he was seeing something and I know something was there but I didn't see it. I had to get on the floor with him I thought he would wet himself. After a few minutes he suddnely turned to me like nothing had happened and was all happy. Was VERY odd. He's also done this a few other times and also growls rarely at "things" I can't see. This is all when nobody else is home but myself and the dogs. I have also seen what I thought was a cat shadow jump up from my fireplace to the top of my bookshelf and behind my TV. It took me a minute to realize we don't have a cat, and it really didn't look like a cat, just moved like one. I definitely beleive in spirits, and I trust my dogs when they tell me they are there. My daughter also used to talk to someone as a baby and also once while in the car she pointed out our window and started talking about the lady while we were stopped at a light, nobdy was there we coudl see. Definately interseting.

I lived in a haunted house with very bad spirits once they showed themselves little by little, it only took us 3 months to move. You are braver then me but they were doing very bad things!!

Doesn't sound like they are trying to hurt you just let you know that they are there. Man the memories this thread brings up. yikes!! Thank goodness never saw them again but I did notice the house has been sold three times since we moved 8 years ago.

we aren't really scared here, and we don't want them to go away. it almost seems like they come and go. when we aren't paying any attention and not watching for stuff they'll happen. but when we are waiting they don't.

my house is haunted. I see faces in the tv..hear footsteps radios turn up and down see shadows things move..things fall in the basement. SO far havent been hurt or anythin but...

My brother has this ghost that used to follow them o matter where they moved. His son used to sit at the bottom of the stairs and talk to the little boy at the top. His wife will wake up with scratches like somethin attacked her and the scratches are usualy in the shapes of letters. My brother has been violently attacked in his sleep.

my parents had this mean dog and my gramma said before i was born the dog would be gone..my gramma died 10 days before i was born and the dog ran away without a trace the day before i was born. Also my grandpa died 2 yrs before i was born and my om took his rocking chair and when she was pregnant with me she used to sit in it and rock.but then she got bad feelings and the chair got powerful and it felt as if something were in it trying to take me and my brothers room was in the basement and hed hear the chair rockin on its own upstairs at night.

Another Ghost story I know

This is not a scary story.. My grandma's Mom had died; two weeks later my grandma was sleeping in the living room of this old house she used to live in.. She woke up because as if she knew something was there, she looked up and she seen a white image walking down the stairs, she put her glasses on, and the image got more clear. It was her mom. She came down stairs and told my grandma that she was happy in the place she is now, and everything was going to be fine. (her mom loved to eat macaroni and cheese w/ ketchup or tamotoes on top, all the time) They went into the kitchen and they ate M and C w/ ketchup. Her mom brought her to the kitchen window and looked into her back yard where she showed her all my grandmas relatives in the yard holding hands and walking around, happily. And i guess her ma just dissapeared from there, I'm not sure what happened.. I thought that was a really cool story she told me! thought i'd share!

Wow! This is some freaky stuff. But I love this sort of thing. Have any of you ever seen the show "Ghost Hunter" I believe it is on Friday nights on the Sci-Fi Channel. One of my favorite shows. Anyway...I haven't really lived in a haunted house or anything, but have had an experience. My son was one week shy of his 2nd birthday when my dad passed away very unexpectedly. Derek (my son) loved no one better than his "papa". Well, one day a few weeks after the passing of my dad Derek and I were downstairs doing laundry and Derek was over on the side the basement (semi-finished) where we kept all this riding toys and such. And he was just a jibbering away as a two year old would do. So I said to him...Derek who are talking too...and he says just as serious as can be "my papa". I asked him, what did papa say? And he answered...he said he loves me and goodbye. We've never had any experience since then, but after that Derek never again asked where his papa was. I think somehow my dad explained to a two yr old little boy that he was in a better place and would see him again someday.

Maybe I'm weird, but I'd like to live with ghosts as long as they weren't mean. My dad comes to visit me sometimes, and I can feel it's him and when he's around. I'd probably try to communicate with them some way. All in all I think it would be kind of neat.
