Well, I just have to brag today. My first show dog, Star (Ch. Bluecollar's Starship Mercury), got her championship yesterday in Glen Rose, Texas, at 21 months. I am just sooooo excited. I put all of the points on her myself which makes it all the more rewarding.
It has been a marvellous experience and I have enjoyed every minute of it. Of course, there were lots of frustrations along the way but overall it has been a great experience, and I have met some wonderful people along the way, most notably, Star's breeders. I could not have done it without them - the advice and help that they gave me and the fun we had at dog shows hanging out together. Also, my husband, who critique'd from the sidelines and who video taped us in the show ring so I could learn from my mistakes.
I am very happy, but at the same time a little sad, because it is the end of a chapter.
Anyway, I will try and post some pictures later today....
