I always loved the picture of Ginty laying on her bench in the garden. I'm sure she's still there watching you plant your seeds.

I think I am going mad, have others had these syptoms..... I seem to be doing a check list daily, like mowing the grass...... last time I did this , last year Ginty was fine. Today.... going to make a sheperds pie.... last time I did this Ginty was looking at me longing .... every thing I do...I seem to have to remember what my girl was doing last time I did even the silliest of things. Help am I going mad....or is this normal. It seems every chore or event I can take off my check list...is getting to crips with my girl not being with me. Two apples left in the fruit bowl, I bought them to share with my Ginty.... must hurry up and eat them... that will be another thing off my list.
Today I managed to find the odd Ginty hair on the carpet, more tears... yet yesterday, I could not find one.

Gentle Ginty up above.....mummy sends you all her love.

Miss you Ginz.......... my tears flow daily.

I did the same thing. The first year I would think of my Ailis at every turn. This time last year, this time last year. I was even more sad when the year ended as that meant it had been that much longer since I last saw her. It is really an awful feeling. I hope your memories comfort you some-like to say it gets better but for me it just became a part of me-missing her. People thought I was truly crazy last year when I would not go on our regular Maine vacation jaunt. I had brought her every year and could not bear to visit those places without her . I will keep you and your sweet girl in my thoughts. Once you have the love of a great dog it is very hard to let go. God Bless

Dear Pam, you are not going mad, a lot of us have been there and suffer your symptoms, its takes a long time to go away. Love you share with a fur kid or skin is something SO special it has a special place in our hearts. As I said before, the tears will lessen and smiles will replace the tears as we remember and recall special moments that will stay in our hearts forever. Ginty doesn't want to see you sad and lonely, she wants to look down and see you happy that she is without pain, running free, she had such a good life and a full life, full of love. One day you will have a new pup or rescue that will fill your heart again with unconditional love. "Hugs".

Pam, I have no idea how I missed this thread a couple of weeks ago. I just want you to know that you have been in my thoughts and prayers since I first read about Ms. Ginty being ill. I wish I could give you a great big hug. I am so sorry for your loss.

I don't know if this will help, but it is worth a shot at least to share it with you. How about going out and getting yourself a journal, and each time one of these "little" memories comes to you, write it down. I know you are going to cry, but in the years to come you may not remember the little things as much, it might be nice to have a journal of your memories of Ginty. And one day, when the pain isnt so bad, you could make a scrap book of the memories with pictures.

My deepest sympathies for you

Godspeed angelicon you truly were an angel Ms Ginty.

Pam, I have not been here for a few weeks and my heart sank when I read the title of this thread! I'm in tears. I am so terribly sorry for your loss. Ginty has always been a BW favorite of mine and I have several pictures of her in My Favorites. Geesh, just yesterday I was showing my gf a beautiful pic of her with your grandaughter. The photos in your gallery was what inspired me to inquire a while back about a "Boxers & Kids" photo gallery! Yes, without a doubt, Ginty will be missed by many members here as she was loved by many of us.
(((HUGS))) to you Pam. You are definately not going crazy. You are grieving the loss of a wonderful boxer and friend that you had the privledge of sharing her life with. Time will of course lessen the pain, but never the memories.
Ginty-girl, run free and happy. The sun always shines where you are. angelicon

Dear Pam, I don't think you're going mad. Sending hugs and warm thoughts to you, and remembering your dear girl, Ginty. I went to your gallery again to look at her pictures - what a sweetheart. I'll light a candle for her tonight.

My darling Ginty please forgive me..... I have not replaced you, but have found a little bit of room in my heart for another....Her name is SASKA she is an eight year old light brindle with a black face, (silver shining though like yours) , she has never had a proper home, alway lived in kennels, today we bought her home, her stumpy tail has not stopped wagging. I hope I do not compare her to you, you are my rock, my darling girl, I am sure you led us to SASKA, so now she can have a loving home, with a gorgeous big sister looking down over her.

Everything is new to her, she sat watching the TV her head to one side, she has investigated about everywhere in the house and garden. So my shadow is back, a little smaller but I am sure you can guide her and help her into the gigantic shadow I had along side me for 13 years.

God Bless you Ginty, my gentle giant......mummy loves and misses you.

Love ya girl
