I'm sorry to hear Emma got out. We have 2 inside cats and one has slipped out twice in 3 years and she stayed out overnight each time (both times in really cold weather, like we're having now....she might be the less intelligent one of the 2 cats).
I bet she'll get hungry soon and want to be back where it's warm and comfortable, or maybe someone invited her inside their house. Posters around the neighborhood would be a great move so someone will realize she has a good home to get back to.
Hope she's home soon. I'll be thinking of you!

Post a lost ad on petfinder.com. Keep checking your local Animal Control and Humane Society every few days or as often as possible. Put an ad in the paper. They will run it for free. Put up flyers in local vets offices and pet stores.
My cat got out once and she was gone for almost 2 months! She was almost 10 miles from home when she was found. Try not to get discouraged. Be diligent - you'll find her!

I am so sorry that your little kitty is missing. Our kitty, which would have been 14 years old in April, got out on Christmas Eve and it was 10 below zero and we haven't seen her since. My husband was out searching on foot until about 4:00 Christmas Morning still no luck. I have contacted the shelter and all the vets and I call every few days also. We will both have positive vibes that we find our dear little kitties soon.

If she isn't fixed she may be in heat and lookin! If that is the case she will come home fairly soon... I saw a documentary once about how the most cat's will roam when they have a warm home with a free meal is about 10-12 miles away so I wouldn't worry but do make sure to put out the poster's! We ended up with a kitty that didn't have a home but we put out posters and looked for them as well!

Yep, she's spayed.
Still no luck. I've visited all of the local shelters and given them a picture as well as filled out a lost pet card. I've posted an ad on petfinder.com and in the local paper. I've talked to neighbors and put up flyers (around the neighborhood as well as local businesses and vets). I've been scowering all of my resources and am coming up with nothing. I did get a call a couple days ago, but it turned out to be an all white cat, not my Emma. :(

Check out this site below. It is about a family (from Galveston) who had been missing their 5 year old Bulldog for 10 months and one day he showed up at the Animal Shelter (in Bryan) and was shortly reunited with his family! He sure did travel a long way but it has a happy ending!

My parents have a cat that will be gone for a week at a time, then he will come back. It scared me half to death but my parents know he will always come back (he was a stray cat that they took in and fed; he doesn't like anyone but my grandma who is now in a nursing home, so he can't live inside).

Walked around door to door today. Talked to a guy only a block over that said he's seen Emma hanging out between 2 - 3 houses the past couple of days. I really hope it's her, because it means she's still alive, still close, and has been spotted! He called the people in those houses (they happen to be his clients) and they are keeping their eyes out for her (as well as the other houses we've visited). The guy said that he told his clients to let the cat in and hold her for me if they find her, as they haven't done that yet.
As a side note, I got up close and personal w/ the neighbor's boxer! :D I was a little jealous as he stood there calmly and wagged his little nub. If it had been Tyson, he would have been jumping all over the place!
