My boxers always fight over the same toy?

When I go to the pet store I always bring home two toys. No matter what toys I bring home they always have to fight over one toy. Yesterday I had to put the toy up. Sydney is real sneeky. She always seems to end up with the toy. I have also tried to buy two of the same toys but that does not work either. Little stinkers. lovicon

I know what you mean as our GDOGS and our old lab have to have the same toy/bone no matter what but they never actually fight over it,one just waits til the other one drops it or walks away from it then they take it.sounds like Sydney is a real character (LOL!!)

Isn't this the truth. If Aniah has it Cody wants it, if Cody has it Aniah wants it. If Cody doesn't want it anymore, neither does Aniah, and vice versa. There can be two of the exact same thing laying side by side and they will both go after the same one and fight and squabble over it, leaving the other identical object laying right there, never even catching a glance from those two. I swear they are just like kids.

The sad thing is I know I can come home with three identical toys and hand them each their own and they will all decide one of the three of the toys is "the" toy to have. And even though I know this, I still always buy things in sets of three. It is hard to believe my three dogs will eat out of the same food bowl....often taking turns and sitting while one is eating and then rotating several times until they are all full. They'll share the food, the treats, but toy joy is all about who can get one that is the toy and keep it the longest. I have somewhere in the neighborhood of fifty toys in their toy box and thirty toys outside and daily one of the toys becomes "the toy". But it amuses them and that is all that matters.

mine are the SAME way. I always buy 2 toys and they end up fighting over one of them, even when they are exactly the same! Dynamite has gotten smart and if her brother has a toy she wants, she will act interested in another toy and chew on it near him until hes interested enough to leave his toy and check out the one shes got. Then she goes in for the kill and steals his!

Ozzy and Vinny do the exact same thing!! Ozzy I think likes to let Vinny take his toy/bone from him just so he can go take it back If Ozzy wants something Vinny has he'll just go get a cuz and squeak it a few times. As soon as Vinny hears the cuz, Vinny has to have it. Then Ozzy runs over and takes Vinnys toy he was playing with. It's soooo funny.

I have wasted so much money figuring this out. I normally buy 3 of everything, so they can each have their own toy. But go figure, they will argue over the same one.
What is even more funny, is I bought them each their own bed. A nice big $40 bed, for a grand total of $120. Yes, $120. I felt it was worth it to get them off of my bed.
So, wouldnt you figure they they all squeeze up onto one bed together to sleep? Don't get me wrong, it is so cute to see...but for heavens sake, I could have saved some good money on that one!
