My Boxers a Brat! Help!

My girl is very independent as well. It a rare occurance for her to get in my lap. She will lay on the couch next to me but I usually get the butt end! She will come find me in a room but the only time she follows me anywhere is during a thunderstorm.
My cat is the one who has to be next to me at all times and follows me everywhere.

Molly is very independant. She only likes to cuddle because that means she gets on our bed at night. However, she can get sucky when she wants something and then when she gets it it's back to normal. Gotta love her for that she really knows what she wants and how to get it

I'll send Jake over for a while......always follows you from room to room lays on top of you on the couch and curls up in your legs in bed and even if your in the bathroom taking a shower he's laying in front of the door - your girl would get jealous and fight for attention!

My baby was this exact way when she was small and was easily held, she didn't want to be, and now that she weighs almost 63lbs, she wants to be a lap dog. She is on my lap, full body, sitting down on my lap as soon as I sit down, if I am standing doing dishes or anything she is leaning on me like she can't stand on her on. So now that she is way to big to hold she insists on being held and I sit and hold her and have bruises all over my legs and abdomen but it is wonderful because now I finally have the lap dog that I wished I had when she was under 10lbs.

My little guy simply cannot stand to be separated from me. My DH is not even a good substitute. We brought Sam home at 6 wks and so I became his mommy in his eyes. I get him to nap by laying down with him and then I'll very quietly roll away to start doing things. He will sleep on his own for a while, but if he wakes up, he comes to find me. Then we repeat the pattern. He is my boxer shadow (which totally irritates my kitty shadows). When I'm in the shower he is constantly trying to get in too(which will be a problem in the next two weeks, when he is suddenly big enough to do it on his own). He's a mess! But I wouldn't have it any other way. I really needed something to baby (cats only want to be babied on their terms) and he's perfect!

I hope sarge likes lots of attention! Hopefully he wont be like the other man in my life and totally ignore me too! HA HA HA! but with 5 kids this poor little guy will probably be lucky to have any alone time. I think i'm gonna have to make a quiet place for him to have some time out from everybody, and nap. good luck and wish me luck!

My Baxter weighs 90 + lbs and when he decides to be a lap dog you know he is there. I wouldn't trade it for the world.

i sometimes wish my dogs were more independant.my female is always on our laps and if she's not my male is and if he's not my akita has his big melon head on me..........i guess i would rather have them snugly..

If it makes you feel any better, I can't get Dillon to lay with me anymore either. He was such a cuddle bug when he was little always laying with me on the couch and once he could get up onto our bed, he wanted to lay with us and it was hard to get him into his kennel.

Now he's to the point where we can coax him up on the bed with a treat, but he immediately retreats. He sleeps in his kennel all night, even with the door open and occasionally he will get up on the couch with me (like when I have food and he thinks if he's cute enough, he'll get some), but otherwise, he's sleeping on his bed on the floor by the couch.

I wish he was a puppy again! Can't wait till we sell our condo so that we can have room to get another one!

Both mine follow me everywhere. At feeding time if I leave their sight they come looking for me ........ I guess they are afraid they will miss something. So when I feed them I usually just at the kitchen table next to them. When I take a shower one of them is on my bed the other is at the shower curtain peeking in. Here is the REAL STINKER.......sometimes they become bed hogs so I will go to the couch to sleep.....they FOLLOW me and sleep with me on the couch.....all 3 of us on the couch!!!!! I cant close the bedroom door either.....they will sit at it and whine till I let them in the room with me!!!! OHHHHHHHHHHH to be popular huh? LOL
