Daisy just came from the vets office a few days ago for her last round of puppy shots... she weighed 23lbs & is 5mo old tomorrow.

The vets think she's a rather big girl... they commented on the fact that she is all muscle too. lol.

We are puppy sitting her brother for the week too; he's maybe 20lbs, but a little taller than Daisy.

I don't think your pup is 'small'. :)

My little girl is now 7 months old. At 5 months, she weighed in at about 40 lbs. My vet said that if you take their weight at 4 months and double it, that would be approximately how much she or he would weigh full grown. I don't know how exact this is, but at the age of 7 months she is now around the 50-55 lbs mark, and not fat. Some are definitely larger than others, my boy who is now 10 years old, weighs in at 85 lbs, and he is a big boy, but again not fat. Doesn't matter how big or small they are, they are all just too cute and loveable!![/QUOTE

I hope your vet is wrong lol. Bella at 4 months was 46 pounds! That would make her a massive 92 poundsd fully grown :) At 6 months she is 59 pounds and 22.5'' to her withers. She's already bigger than her dam but her sire is a big boy. Lots of crufts, italian and international champions on her pedigree so surprisingly large.

My little girl is at about five and a half months and last time I checked she was 35lbs. She is all legs and is skinny. She looked a little small to me but maybe not.

I've worried from day one about Banjo's weight (there was no questioning his malnutrition when I first got him), but it wasn't long before he caught up to the "averages". We've met such a variety of boxers in the mean time that I no longer worry about his weight; as long as he has enough for HIS frame/structure. I really don't think proper weights exist in a breed with such disparity in frame size, as long as you think she's healthy.
