Boxer Buddy
It's been quite some time since I visited the site. I felt I that needed to share my grief with other boxer lovers. Bertie aged 8 went to the bridge on Saturday 7th August 2010.
It was such a shock, and quite unexpected I am devestated. Thursday he was full of life bouncing around and playing with Emma our 12 year old boxer. Firday he seemed a little down, by Saturday morning when I got up I knew something was wrong he wouldn't move not even to the sound of the leash.
To cut a very long day short after numerous tests scans and xrays, it was discovered he had silent tumours in his liver, spleen and kidneys and had internal bleeding.
I will never ever forget the pleading look in his eyes at the vets surgery he seemed to be saying please help me I can't go on, nothing could be done for him.
Today I have looked back at the photo gallery on the site and shed many tears after looking back and sharing fond memories.
He was my life and will be a part of me forever, I can't imagine my days without him.
Good night God Bless Bertie, and thank you for bringing such joy to our family xxx
