Also, she has received all of her shots (the breeder's vet gave her some shots that are good for a year, and don't need a booster until then), and we haven't really let her play with any unknown dogs. We introduced them at the park where we take her, and at the store we are pretty cautious. We would hold her back and while many dogs would bark, she would just hang back and stare. We leash her at all times at the park, but basically she just chews on her toy and occasionally says hello to a passerby.
First of all I would take her to the vet for an evaluation on the shots she's had so far. Your set is no where near complete at 9 weeks. The breeder that "gave her some shots that are good for a year" did not give the propper boosters to your pup. Puppies need 3 sets of shots, the last being given at 16 weeks along with the rabies vaccinne. if they are not given in the correct order your dog is not protected! I would not be taking my dog out to the park or any where near other dogs until that age. Puppy diseases are no joke.:(
More to the subject. Like others have said the growling and mouthing is totally normal. My dogs are 6 months old and 9 months old and if you listen to the audio of the above posted video and crank the volume on your computer to the max, that's what my house sounds like several times a day.
