Well hopefully Titus will be on his way home in a few hours. Good to hear all is well--guess boxers just get so excited over toys they gobble them up--mine tries to do the same thing with every new toy he gets. Worse than babies, must keep an eye out day and night b/c they get in soooo much trouble. Good luck tonight- hope all is well.

I'm glad to hear Titus is doing well! And yes, you will probably have to encourage him to lay down and get some rest! Herkie did well about lying around and taking it easy after his surgery...and surprisingly enough...the other dogs didn't harass him too much, I think they can sense that they aren't 100%. And Titus will probably be close to normal in a few days...I was amazed at how well Herkie bounced back. Hopefully Titus will do the same. Anyway, glad to hear everything is going well, please let us know how his recovery progresses.

He's home

Titus is home :) We got the call from the vet around 7pm last night, saying he kept his food down allright and could come home. Oh man! The excitement that leaped up was unbelievable. DH and I are soooooo glad he's home. So is Lexi. We put him straight in his crate and then let her down. She immediately went to him, sniffing around him, trying to kiss him. When we let her out to pee, she let out some joyous barks like saying, "My brother's home!" and then came tearing in the house, tail sticking straight up and very happy. He's doing well and is resting like he should. When I saw him this morning, he got up and tried to do a kidney bean (which warmed my heart)but I managed to quite him down quickly :) Thanks again for your thoughts and prayers. It's nice to know I can come to this board for help and support, without anyone thinking I'm over-reacting about my babes :) That means a lot to me. :D

I am sorry I missed this thread and am glad that your baby is doing better. Deeg and I are sending Titus get well quick vibes. Titus' story is to close to home right now as our Deeg is always chewing any little thing he can get his mouth on. I worry that I will not be quick enough and he will swallow something bad; it really keeps us on our toes.
