We finally made it on here. I was on the telephone today with my internet provider, Dell and had a computer man check my computer and they all say the forum part is not letting me on without constantly trying. The computer man tried to get on from his computer and he couldn't get on. It either redirects me or says server us busy. I posted on the computer part for the monitors to read. We miss not being here so much. Rocky is still with us. It truly amazes me each day with the continuing growth that he still continues to eat, wiggle and give me mushy kisses! Thanks for all your post. Even when I don't get on here I know I will have post waiting....We miss you all :(

We Are So Sorry!!!!!!!

Hi,
I just read your post about your Rocky. I have a Rocky, too. I am now going through some terrible times with my Casey, an 8 year old white female boxer. I do not know if it is cancer or not, but in the last 2 weeks it has really taken a toll on her. I am so depressed, because I do not know what else I can do for her. I try to keep her comfortable, and feed her treats, to make her last days bearable.

Did the vet ever mention chemotherapy??? Bone cancer is usually a slower growing cancer, in humans patients can live several years. I once had a patient who lived for 20 years with the disease. The most common problem with bone cancer is it causes aches and pains in the bones. I do not know what it does to dogs, but please do not cry and give up just yet!!!! Rocky may live for quite a long time, and you have to keep enjoying him right now!!!! With cancer, it is very hard to predict how long the patient will live, but it is certainly not a death sentence!!!! Rocky could live for quite a long time--we never know for sure, but live each day to the fullest!!!!

I would ask your vet more details on bone cancer, and look around on the internet. From my personal experience with patients, bone cancer prognosis is a gradual disease, and, if so with Rocky, he could live much longer than expected. If he is happy, and is not hurting, enjoy him!!!! I have an 11 year old boxer, Rusty, who I did not think would last this long due to his multiple illnesses, but he is 11 years old going on 12, and doing just fine!!! I know, one day he will not be here, and I desperately try hard not to think about it. Right now I am going through alot with Casey, and am worried she may only live a few more days. She is only 8 years old, and was always the healthy one, I expected her to live forever. Now, I know time is running out, and soon I will have to make a decision. Right now, I live day by day, trying to keep Casey comfortable until I know she is ready to cross the bridge!!!!

We are all sending healing vibes to you and Rocky, keep on going, and enjoy life!!!!!!!!!!!

I have had a few problems posting in the last week or so also. The site was busy or couldn't find a server. Was wierd.
Thankfully, it only lasted a few days or so.
I hope you got your problem fixed. Hoping all is well with you and Rocky.
Yogi sends slobbery kisses.

I have tried several times to post with no luck but here I go again. I see several post where there's several of our boxer babies with heart and cancer problems...I wish I could reply but it has taken me forever to get to here tonight but all my vibes and prayers go out to all of you. Rocky is heading on his 9th month with the cancer monster attached to his leg. It simply breaks my heart to even look at his leg. It is getting harder for him to get around as the cancer grows but he still fighting each day. He is laying on my bed and I can hear his labored breathing. God has blessed us in so many ways. I still cry when I think of the day he will leave us. How can these little creatures still our hearts away. I am so thankful that we have been able to spoil him worse than he already was.....he's my little angel....and he knows it...we miss you all...Rocky & Mom

Hang in there gal.You and Rocky have been an inspiration to all of us who have faced the cancer beast. 9 months is remarkable. While we all wish our babies can stay with us forever we know we have to say goodbye one day. Paws crossed your day is still far away.Rocky will let you know when its time. Double hugs from me and Chancey.
