Well it was 2 weeks ago today and he seems like forever since I have seen my Rocky. I stopped at Walmart on the way home tonight and ran into a friend and the first thing she ask was how is Rocky doing so right there in the mist of shoppers I am crying. Just when you think you have it together...here comes the tears. Our lives are just too empty without a boxer...we have agreeded that we will be getting a new baby sometime soon. One of the girl's at work brought her boyfriends new boxer in the office. He just got him on Tuesday...needless to say I had him all snuggled on my shoulder....he was so small and sweet. Of course he reminded me of Rocky when he was little. We are definetly addicted to boxers...now just finding a responsible breeder. Well just wanted to check in...thanks again for always being here for me.....Rocky's Mom Forever

I am glad you are coping well I am sure a new baby won't effect all your love you have for Rocky. I myself have to have a dog to love I hope you find a breeder that you are comfortable with.

Vicky,
I just read your thread about Rocky, and I am so very sorry. I went through this a few years ago with my Brooklyn and the little piece of my heart went with him. We did go on and after 3 months got a new little precious baby. I wish you lots of joy and wonderful thoughts of Rocky. I actually was looking on BW since they helped so much in the past for a thread for my Eli. She is at the vets tonight and tomorrow getting IV fluids. She hasn't eaten since Wed. and the doctor is ruling out stuff. He told me he was going to do a blood test and I burst out crying with all my memories of Brooklyn's cancer diagnosis came flooding back. Thank God her blood work came out OK. Now we just wait for the IV to replenish her system. With all this I am crying again and again with memories of Brooklyn, because I know how precious their life is. And now I read your thread and Brooklyn was 7 and it is all touching close to home. Just know that Rocky is in great company with all these wonderful boxers you hear about. It does make life a little easier. Best wishes to you!

I am so sorry. I posted a blog about 6 weeks ago. My Sabrina, which will turn 5 in April has a mass on her lung. She has a month to 6 months. Like you, we are devasted. I feel your pain so much. These are our babies and we get so attached to them. We are loving Sabrina and spoiling her each day of her life.

I just posted under your thread so sorry about your baby. I know what you are feeling and it will not be easy but God and Boxer World will get you thru this difficult time. That song Live Like You Are Dying is so true. I felt so much pain at first that I couldn't enjoy Rocky but I got past that and we lived each day like we had more coming and we did. I hope the same for you. We have decided to get a new baby. We just can't live without the love of a boxer...life is way to short for that. You haven't been loved until you've had a boxer. What more could you ask for. Hang in there and stay strong. They do sense your feeling. I am always here if you ned to visit...Rocky's Mom Forever

Rocky's Mom- Good to see you are hanging in there. I know what you mean about it feeling like forever since you last saw your boy. It has been almost two months already and it feels like an eternity since Killian left. Some days it is really hard, like the other day the sun was out and it was so beautiful and we were all outside and I kept looking and thinking I would see Killian running around in the yard and laying in the sun... I still get so sad and the house is so empty, but we too have decided to get another boxer pup, hopefully in the next 3-6 months, so we have that to look forward to! Hang in there! Katie

Thank you. I am glad you are getting a new baby. My daughter is 17 and she asked me if we will get a new baby. We will never be able to replace Sabrina but you are right, the love of a boxer is a wonderful thing. Sabrina has given our family so much love. I would never trade that for anything. Keep us posted.

Hey Vicky!!!

HUGS!!!!!!!

I just wanted to give you a hug from me and Dex. Just to let you know we are thinking about you.

We have a new baby in our lives, a Border Collie pup, and he's pretty neat. Dexter likes him so far! It's a first for me, and I just hope things will turn out well. So far, the Border pup is sent from Heaven! (He's marked very closely to how Ginger was marked). We're just eating him up... :)

Stay strong, but don't be afraid to cry.

I know I haven't been here for you lately, but the rest of Boxerworld has... let us know if you need anything at all.

I'm so proud of Rocky!!!! The fight he put up is incredible!!! And I'm proud of you too, Vicky!!! What a mom!!!!!!

HUGS to you and your hubby and son!!!!
Melanie and Dexter (and Cowboy! - the border collie!)

Today would have been Rocky's 9th birthday. I keep thinking about last year this time. We had balloons and double cheese burgers from Mc Donalds. Everyone on here said to make memories and we did...it's very fullfilling reliving those memories today. We miss him so much! I have been sad today knowing it was his birthday. New baby girl keeps us occupied and she is so precious but a part of me still feels guilty for getting a new baby. Even though I know Rocky would approve of Adrian....aka Addy...just wish he could be here to enjoy her too. Time to go since I am crying....Rocky's Mom Forever and Mom to new baby girl Addy!
