Happy Holidays to all you wonderful Boxer lovers and Boxer babies. Lisa - I just read your post and my heart really goes out to you. Stay strong - it is a year since I lost my Boxer girl Heidi and she first collapsed Christmas Eve so my husband spent that night in the animal hospital. We picked her up Christmas morning and we had her till Jan 18 of this year. This holiday brought up how much I miss her all over again. We are all thinking of you and Reagan.

God bless.

I haven't read through this whole thread (just the first and last page) and am happy to hear that Rocky is a 1 year survivor. Boxers can live a long life after a leg amputation when he has bone cancer. When my last boxer Riggo was being treated for Leukemia/Lymphoma I ran into a boxer at the Oncology center in West Chester who had had his leg amputated 5 years earlier. I was amazed. He was full of energy and had completely adapted. In fact his amputated leg was positioned against the wall in a way that I couldn't see it at first and didn't even know he had it amputed as he was standing, wagging his tail full of energy. Congratulations Rocky.

It will be 1 year on Wednesday since Rocky's diagnosis of bone cancer. The vet said he had 6 to 8 weeks. Rocky has the right name because he is definetely a fighter. He is one amazing boxer even if he is mine and I am bragging. He is still eating, wiggles and greets me each night. His will to survive is so strong. He truly loves us as much as we love him. I know our time has to be running out and it makes me cry tonight while we celebrate the year we have had. We have so many wonderful memories. He is one spoiled baby and we love him with all our heart. Keep us inyour prayers...Rocky and Mom

Every time I see new posts on this thread I freeze with fear, but every time Im pleasantly suprised.

Rocky, what a truly truly wonderful boy. Isnt it amazing the inner strength that shines through in troubled times, both humans and puppies.

Im so happy for both of you, just having him by your side would have been the best Christmas present by far.

You guys are truly inspirational.

Lots of boxer slobbers to you

I've seen your posts on other threads about your Rocky, and am astounded by his strong spirit and resolve to beat the odds!! He is THE trooper extraordinaire, and is becoming a legend in his own time. I have such admiration for him, and also for you and your family. If Rocky can stand to have another hug ;), please give him one from Grunt and me.
