I am so sorry for your loss:( It sounds like you gave Lizzy a wonderful life...wow a 13 yr. old boxer. I can not personally tell you that it gets easier, but many others on here say it does get better with time. Everyone handles loss differently, so just because your family members seem to be handling it better just because they are not crying as much as you doesn't mean much because they may just be holding in their feelings. I mean isn't that what most men do anyway. Try to hang in there and take comfort in the fact that you are shedding a tear for every wonderful memory you and Lizzy shared:)

I'm really sorry you've lost your beloved Lizzy. Lots of us here have been through this and understand the pain your feeling. We lost our first boxer almost 2 years ago and honestly I don't think a days go by I don't think about him, some days I miss him more than others, some days I cry and some days I laugh when remembering him. You have lost a member of your family and you need to grieve at your own pace in your own way. Hopefully someday soon you'll be able to laugh at your happy memories rather than cry.

Everyone grieves in their own way. Only time can heal. Rest assured the void and sadness you and your family is experiencing will soon be filled with smiles and warmth the memories of Lizzy will bring. Lizzys spirit will live foever in the hearts of those she touched. Hugs from me,Chancey and Sev'n.
