Mistaken Identity

So, I wasn't really sure where to post this, but this seems close. About a year ago I posted that my boxer had been mistaken for a pitbull and that I received a short lecture from the person about how they hope my "dog grows up to be nice". Well I now have 2 boxers, 1 brindle and 1 white and we've had another case of mistaken identity. This isn't the only other time it's happened, but it is certainly the most frustrating. I've been living in a pet friendly apartment for about 6 months now, and someone has just now decided to complain about those "pit bulls he has". Of course my boxers are quite typical, that is to say they are incredibly friendly and happy to meet everyone. There was no instance to provoke the complaint, and I have no idea who it was. This is especially irritating this time, since my work is providing the lodging and the apartments decided to contact my employer. I'm sure I'll get everything worked out, but I just wanted to show you guys my super vicious pit bulls!

The brindle is Icarus (18 months), and the white one is Kador (12 months).

How frustrating! People always seem apprehensive about Deja too, for no reason... I hope you can get things straightened out :(

Well it just goes to show " HOW MUCH THEY KNOW ABOUT DOGS " they need to get their facts straight. I was only asked this week why I decided to get a pitbull ,my reply was " what makes you think i have a pitbull ? he looked at roge and said ,is he not yours , my reply , yes he,s mine ,have you never seen a Boxer before ? him ( egg on face ) oh Im not that weel up on breeds.
Anyhow you have 2 fab dogs,to me they dont look vicious they look like 2 fab goof balls , I sure hope you get the issue sorted soon and even if they were pitbulls there is no such thing as a bad dog, just bad owners.

On walk shih tzu owner told me her dog didn't like rottweilers. I told her Kahner was a boxer. She said 'same thing'. So i told her i really liked her hairy chiwawa .

To quote Ron White, "You can't fix stupid." I think you pups are absolutely adorable and have two very kissable faces!

I have been fortunate as I think I have only been asked once in 14 yrs of having boxers if one was a pit bull. Tho' I suspect there have been more that wondered and just kept their mouths shut. (I have seen that glaring look.)

Lol that is awesome. She probably just had a mean dog and tells people "she doesn't like -insert whatever I think your dog is here-". A lot of people are in denial when they actually do have a vicious dog.

You guys are right about my dogs being goof balls. Like most boxers, they are non stop laughs. Their only crime is Kador sometimes getting overly excited to meet people, often jumping 4 feet into the air repeatedly when greeting. They are as harmless as any dogs I've ever met. They are even friendly with cats.

I don't mean to be rude (OK, I guess I do). People can be STUPID. Your obviously boxers are adorable!

I think they me vicious by knocking you down and licking you to death while you laugh the whole time. Because you know when you laugh a boxer laughs harder..... I'm sorry you are going thru this stupid stuff and I hope it all works out.
