Well, Lance and Murphy are getting bigger so the counter surfing has begun. They're so fast with it too. I never leave them unsupervised in the house, but I think I need eyes in the back of my head at this point. The other day they got a hold of Murphy's dog park application and ate the corners. I figure we can tape it and they'll still take it :D No really, my dog ate my homework. We keep an oven mitt on the side of the fridge, which Lance has OCD about now. They got one of my magnets off yesterday. So everything is progressively moving up/back. Lance has also figured out how to open cabinets. He seems to like to open the one where the trash can is the most. Yeah, I don't think so. What's funny is when I give them a stare with my arms crossed when they start. The looks on their faces are classic "what? me? Not me." It's quite entertaining, and they're not even full grown. Pretty soon all our stuff will be hanging from the ceiling :D

Oh boy I know what you mean. I sometimes really push things back and just know theres no way Aasha can get them. And how many times has he proved me wrong! Lol. I keep telling him everything in this house isn't his but he seems to think different!

I feel your pain! I can't leave a thing on my counters if I'm not directly beside it. When we first moved one of my neighbors stopped by to meet us. As it turned out the kids were just eating dinner, so quickly I tucked their plates in oven to be sure there was still food on them when we returned I do this all the time! You never know where you might find a plate of food in this house

They are so sneaky and once they have had success, it is neary impossible to stop the searching. Winston hasn' snagged anything in a very long time, but he still surfs by just hoping.

Wherever you keep your trash, think about putting a child safety lock, or a cabinet latch on. You can find them at wal-mart or lowe's. Apollo was never a counter surfer until about a week ago(he's over 2). Rocky is getting bigger and is a table surfer, therefore it is a competition to see who gets whatever first. I have to warn the kids all of the time to watch walking around with food, otherwise, Rocky will snatch it out of their hands!

I understand where you're coming from!! While Abbi has never counter surfed (more of a garbage digger - come out of the bathroom with a q-tip sticking out of her mouth!!), Hayden climbed in a drawer the other day to get up to the counter to get a piece of meat. I can only imagine what he is going to be like when he gets tall enough to actually reach the counter!

Yea I know what you mean. Brutus still counter surfs when he thinks no one will catch him. We kept moving stuff back, off the counter and hiding in the microwave. My DH learned his lesson one time a few months back. He set a plate of raw burgers on top of the microwave which is on the counter, and Brutus managed to get half of one. i swear he stretched as far as he could to get it to.

Oh, how I feel for you! Scrappy recently stole a package if donuts off a counter top and has ruined three sets of blinds, chewed a hole in our gate, opened a window and gotten onto the roof of the house, ate our doorframe, hidden several shoes, nearly making me late for work, destroyed a training crate, and the list goes on!!!

Sadie, the lab, has taught Peaches how to counter surf. Usually Peaches waits until Sadie has snagged something then helps her eat it..

When she was still a pup, I found her on top of the kitchen table eating my Gardenia..the plant didn't make it..

I have to wash the bedroom window every day as she sits in the middle of my bed a presses her nose to the window and sniffs for small creatures that may be invading her territory..

I am so laughing looking at the birthdate of lance Cooper is one day older I am hearing you!!! He stands up and stretches his tongue out to see if he can reach food hasn't got anything yet
