Boxer Insane
Last year ,i visited the annual dogs show and i notised a female boxer with her owner out of the boxers ring.
The size of this boxer was like as a puppy boxer about 4 months old,but she didn't look as puppy ,so i asked the owner what breed his dog was and he told me that she was a pure female fawn boxer 2,5 years old:eek: and waited there to participate in the boxers show ring.
She was just a very tiny boxer :) i have never seen another boxer soooo tiny like this.

Brussels Griffon?

Lori,
Is it possibly a Brussels Griffon? There are 2 coat varieties, the wiry haired kind like in the movie "As Good As It Gets"; and smooth (flat coated) kind. The president at our local boxer club also owns a Griff - they truly are comical and a toy-miniature version of a boxer :D!

P.S. I tried attaching a pic, but couldn't get it to work :(

I check the internet for a picture. The short hair looks too much like a pug. I guess I'll have to go to Chapters and get a dog encylopedia and maybe I can find it. Those Griffens are ugly compared to a boxer. But than again everydog is ugle compared to a boxer. (haha).

I did check the carlin mops and the fawns do almost look like a boxer except the eyes are too big compared to the picture I saw. Thanks anyways.

I just talked to the breeder where I got my boxers from and she than talked to her husband's father. He's been a breeder for years. He said what you did was take the smallest boxer from the litter and kept breeding smaller and smaller. He had boxers that were 30 lbs. Imagine that. They had called them apartment size boxers. My boxers are horses. Anyways I have a briddle puppy and the condition of the sale of this puppy, I have to breed her. They find a male, plus take a puppy. I told her to find a small male, because her line is too big, for a lap dog. Plus I have no more room in my bed.

My Minature Boxer

My Lily is 7 months old and wieghs 20 lbs. The vet said she will not get over 25 lbs. But that's not due to breeding. We adopted her. She was severly malnourished and it stunted her growth. She is the one with the brown patch over her eye under my name. But she is awfully cute being so little. She is alhpa female here though. She shows the others who the boss is.

Completely Boxer Crazy
Sounds like someone isnt breeding for the betterment of the bread..."mini" boxers would not be allowed in the confrontation ring because of their size I am sure...I cant believe someone is breeding smaller with smaller boxers to create a mini...that seems rediculous to me...

BxrsnGsdOhMy-Your lily is beautiful!

"Miniature Boxers" are becoming quite popular in the southeast. We've had several in our rescue that were 3-6" shorter than the shortest the standard calls for. They are being bred, sold and advertised as a real breed and as "new" or "rare". Of course, a dwarf Boxer is still a Boxer and if it came from registered parents then its a legitimate AKC Boxer. People are inserting the word "Miniature" in there though between AKC & Boxer which is incorrect. Someone came up with a cute name for them the other day and said why not call them Pocket Boxers? But if we start making up cute names for them and the breeders catch wind of it, they smaller Boxers will just become that much more marketable to the general public.
