Lexie our female is 11 months today. She weighs about 43 pounds. We feed her wellness and more than is called for. Will she grow bigger and up to what age. She is really healthy. My vet said to keep her as lean as possible for health reasons. BILL

She may not get much taller than she is now, but she'll continue to fill out until she is 2 or even 3 yrs old. Your vet is right -- you should maintain a healthy weight and let her grow at her natural rate.

We're right there with you, Trudy is a year old (in 2 weeks) she weighed in at a whopping 42 1/2lbs.....She's just a petite girl..

When Cheyenne was 6 months old, she weighed 35 lbs. When she was a year old, she weighed 50 lbs and she's always hovered around that. She kind of grew up and then filled out (especially in the chest area) after the first year. It was kind of weird - even though she didn't gain a lot more weight after her first year, I guess it was redistributed or something!

I don't know that I would feed her more than is called for unless she is more active than most puppies. You don't want her to get too heavy, too fast.

Our girl Ali is over 4 years old & continues to hover around the 22 - 23 kg mark (or 50lbs).
When you consider the average weight for a fully grown female is approximately between 55 & 65 lbs she's really not that far off the average weight at all.
Bill, I think Lexie will still have a bit of growing left in her & generally boxers don't finish filling out until somewhere between the ages of 2 & 3 so I for one think she's got a few lbs left in her yet. :)

Our Pancho is about 45 pounds and most of its muscle, he's very athletic and all boxer. There something to be said for a small boxer, easy on the lap.. He was 4 in September...

Lexi is 5 years old and weighs in at 48lbs. I think she could stand to gain a few pounds but no matter how much we feed her she doesn't gain an ounce ;)

Tenaia is currently 56 lbs of rock solid muscle. She will be 3 next month and has only reeeaaaally started to spring in the chest. She has been the same height as Tess for about 4 months now, but is more "petite" for lack of a better word. She just lacks the "filled out" look, but it is starting to come. Be patient. You have some time yet.

My little girl

My Zoe is 7 mos and 40 lbs. Good to hear all the variations of weight. Now I am confident that she is growing just fine! :)
