Meteor shower

We got to see it last night. It was awesome. My brother and my daughter are so glad that I'm a 'geek' and knew where to look in the sky. Although we still had some people around us saying "look there's one, thats so cool", and then we would have to tell them 'its a plane, meteors shoot across the sky not blink slowly" . They saw one eventually, then the planes didn't impress them anymore.

Sadly, our afternoon clear clouded back up. No meteor showers for me. :( First time I've missed them in over 10 years. I live in the desert and it is not supposed to be cloudy in the summer.

It was really clear last night here so DH & I went out around 1:30 and saw quite a few. Nice big ones too - not the little shooters! I plan to go out again tonight to see how many are left. For those of you that watch, do you find yourself letting your imagination wander while your looking up? Sometimes it feels a little creepy if you start wondering if there are other "people" on other "rocks" looking at us the same way. If I go on too long, I get goose bumps and have to go inside

Popped out for a look on Wednesday night but was defeated by midges :D Did spot one though.
