I’d like to start to showing. Boxers have always had a place in my heart.
But I’m not sure how to get started, my Emma has been spayed so I know that she can’t show. So I know that I’ll need to get a puppy around 3-6 months.
But do I need to take handling classes? If so where do they offer those? There is a lot of BYBing done in my area which is one reason I’d like to show, and get involved in a boxer club in southern indiana.

So is there anyone on from the Louisville or Indianapolis kennel club that can give me direction.

And can anyone recommend a breeder, that does show and health test.

Thanks for your advise in advance.

I would recommend ..if you haven't already ...is to start going to local dog shows...find out when & what ring the Boxers are showing....watch the handlers ...talk to some breeders ( after they are finished showing)...Then I would find out where the nearest Boxer Club is ...join the club...I 'm sure they will offer you tons of info & help ...who knows you might find a breeder & mentor there ...You can find all this info on the AKC web site...or do a search on Boxer Clubs in your area...This is how I found Boo's breeder...thru the Boxer club in my area.

Good Luck in your search !!

Vickie hit it exactly on the head. That is how I met Christina and got Scrapper (first) and then Holly, after I realized that I really loved going to dog shows and wanted a dog to show myself.
