This is the reason I actually joined here, this forum has more health info than any I have found(plus everyone seems so nice).
Lady(12 yr old boxer mix) was found to have a lung tumor about 3-4 inches on her left lung right lobe about two weeks ago, the reason she was there was to have a tumor on the left side of her muzzle removed(which we then found out was a mst,and because of the lung tumor we were advised not to put her under to remove).
We have opted because of her age and the size and location of the tumor that making her comfortable was our best option. She is now on prednisone and pepcid, but the tumor on her face is now growing faster than ever and she seems so weak. Two weeks ago before we found out she ran around and played for a little while now she seems out of breath constantly and just lays around. She still seems happy and eats well.
Also the mst is ulcerated and breaks open and bleeds once and a while.
Has anyone had any expirences similar to this and helpful advice on what signs she might when she is in pain or uncomfortable. I think I am biased to see her happy and if I had some points of reference as to how she might act if in pain it might be easier to judge. Thanks for listening I'm sure I've rambled enough.
