Mason's lump
My prayers are with you and I know this is trite but try not to worry. God doesn't give you more than you can handle.
I noticed a lump on my Kodi girls rear end a couple of weeks ago and decided not to delay getting it checked out. The vet was worried that it popped up so fast (within one week!) and wanted to remove it immediately. I was pretty upset but choked it down for Kodi's sake. I didn't want her to sense my worry, even though she probably did anyway! They removed it on Friday and I was told by the vet that it "looked cancerous". I wanted to freak out but I knew I needed to just be there for Kodi. I spent extra time with her just taking naps and cuddling and knew that whatever happened, Kodi had been put in my life for me to love her as much as possible, no matter how much time we had. She is so incredible and the love she gives has no boundaries. Well, long story short, after no word from my vet, I finally called and was told, "oh yeah, the results came back and the tumor was benign.." Sigh.... Some people just don't get that we consider these animals to be our kids and friends, truly..
I know Kodi may have a tumor in the future that is not benign but I have peace in the knowledge that I can make my dog happy while she is with us and that is all that counts. I know Mason is well loved - you are obviously a wonderful momma.
I will pray for you and Mason.
God Bless,
Kodi's mom
