Mammoth Boxer Sighting..

I was talking to a friend in the neighbourhood (also has a boxer) and she told me that while she was in town today, she'd seen a rather large boxer. The owner said the dog was 135LBS!!!!!!:eek: Later on when my husband had gone out, he came home and told me he'd seen the owner walking the dog and could not believe the size! Has anyone heard of a boxer this size? If you are a BW member, please come forward

My goodness...that`s huge!!! I didn`t think boxers could get that big. Was it a pure-breed? Or mixed with some mastiff, or american bulldog maybe?

It was a purebreed boxer brindle male. I know, sounds unbelievable!! We have a friend whose boxer is 100 LBS and I thought that was big!

My Muffin was probably close to that by the time she died. I'm not sure of an exact weight, but I know she weighed more than me, and I weigh about 115lbs. She was extremely unhealthy. If I had lived with her the last couple years of her life, she would still be alive. Boxers should not be that big.

There is NO WAY that dog can be a purebred Boxer.

A friend of mine swore he had a purebred Boxer, and was VERY proud his dog was already 80lbs at 8 mos. We hadn't been able to meet for a while and finally when I saw his dog, I told him there was no way it was a purebred Boxer. After he researched it more and grilled the breeder, it turned out it was a Bulloxer (Boxer/Am Bulldog mix). At 17 mos, his dog weighs 115lbs.

Most HEALTHY dogs over 130lbs are giant breeds. And the Boxer is a medium sized breed.

Rocky's dad weighs 125 and he is a pureblood Boxer(CKC for all that's worth) He is not fat, just tall and broad and muscular. Rocky is 8 months and weighs around 75 pounds. I think that there has to be some mastiff in there somewhere. Rocky is trim, broad and muscular already, I can only imagine what he will be like in the second year:eek:

chloe weighs 95 pounds, but she is solid the vet said she is the biggest female boxer he has seen not just in weight but in height also. plus thank godness she is a healthy girl


but 135 does take the cake- no pun intended
