Mammary Tumor Question

I noticed a mammary gland mass a couple of weeks ago on Tasha (7yr old rescued at 3yr) and immediately took her to the vet. She had a mastectomy of the 4th and 5th gland the following week. Prior to surgery she had chest x-rays and blood work with all positive results. I received the results of the biopsy and the 4th was malignant and the 5th was benign. A couple lymph nodes were also removed and were 'clean.' They also received clean margins on the tumor (4th gland). The vet said since the 4th was maligant I would need to decide if I want to have her go through chemo treatments in case of metastasis. He told me to think about it and come with any questions on Tuesday when she has her stiches removed. Does anyone have any advice or experience in this area? I rescued a male in the past who had a grade 4 mass tumor with dirty margins (could not remove entire tumor due to location) so it was a no brainer in regard to treatment. I just do not want to put her through chemo if it isn't needed and there are other options in regard to monitoring metastasis. Any input would be greatly appreciated - THANKS!

Sending healing and hopeful vibes for your dear girl. Sorry I don't have any input, but will keep Tasha and you in my thoughts.
