I prefer males that just me Foreman was the only one left in his litter I wanted a brindle male and thats what I got I phoned around to a few breeders so I had 3 that we were looking at but he was the first one we saw he was 11 weeks old and he flew into dh arms as soon as we got there we couldn't leave without him. Harley we adopted and I wanted another male and he was.

 It usually doesn't work that way but I guess you will be picking them when they are too young to really pick you. In my experience, the pup usually picks you and you end up with some color/markings/sex completely different than planned. Funny how life works...

That is so true. I had been waiting for my boxer for 15 years... I wanted to be settled, finished school, and have my own house. I have always wanted a male fawn and white boxer named Dexter. I have a Dexter -who is female and brindle. She picked us. As soon as she saw us - she left her mama and littermates and came straight to me! She was mine then and there. She is now four months and is completely spoiled and ruined. :)

We have 2 females and 1 male. Our females couldn't be more different! Rookie is our dominant dog and very bossy (to the other dogs & to humans). Gypsy is the sweetest dog ever! Rookie is very regal while Gypsy is all about fun.

Each one of our dogs is very unique with their own personality quirks! We love each one of them for what makes them different.

When you go to pick one out you will feel a special connection with one when you look into those beautiful dark brown eyes.

I can't even begin to imagine a dog being sweeter or more of a snuggle-bug than my Casey Noodles. We will be getting our male in a few weeks and I'm hoping for another sweetie face!

I guess the only real distinction I could make is that the males will probably end up bigger. All things being equal - as in same litter - you can expect a few inches and several pounds more bulk in the male of the breed.

As a verrrrry broad generalization - the female will often end up a little more assertive and the male a little more laid back, but that's so much a function of individual personality that I wouldn't count on it in choosing a pup.

Your probably better off just going with the one that strikes your fancy and not even bothering about their plumbing.

God luck!
