Male or Female prefrence

I have always preferred girls because they are smaller breeds. Also I dont really like seeing the males "stuff" either... I have found females are calmer too.

I prefer females myself. Layla is so affectionate and always has to be around you and touching you. I would love to get another female to be her sister but I heard that sometimes that doesn't work out and I wouldn't want to chance it. I also had two Bichons for 15 years and they were both female and the sweetest things around. It's all a personal opinion I guess.

OT: Shiny coat

I just looked at your gallery and man is your boy Dieter shiny! What on earth to you do to make him shine like he does? Sorry for posting this completely different topic here but I had no idea where to post it or how to send a message to only you.

Thanks! It's nothing that we've done; he just has an exceptional coat -- not bad for a rescue boy, eh? We used to feed Canidae and have switched to Wellness, with no real change in his coat. We only bathe him about 4 times a year; maybe it's all the peanut butter kongs -- who knows?!

Thank you for the great responce, I guess my own feelings were mirrored a few times here. Ive already said I love my females and Im sure in my lifetime i will have more females, however, my Dylan had such a bond with me, I guess I like that cuddle me, love me, kiss me, constantly stuff. My girls are very, very loving, Maya more so than Roxie, shes very independant, Bless their hearts!!! Dylan was my boy and Im hoping for a male from my breeders next litter. Thank you all again for your in-put. We all here sincerely hope we havent hurt any doggie feelings .

I have a male. I've always preferred male dogs.... the bigger dog. The only thing that I don't like about having a male is when his 'lipstick' sticks out.

I was having a conversation with my neighbor, and I've never seen Tre stick his lipstick out until THEN! I was kinda embarassed because I don't know my neighbor very well. Tre has never done that since.
