Male Boxer Found MI

I took in a brindle boxer that someone found in SE Michigan, If anyone knows anyone that lost their pet, let me know.
I am planning on keeping him unless his real family finds me.

Thanks for rescuing a pup in need. Please do your best to call all the vets in your area and post "found" signs around the neighborhood. I'm not sure, but you could also call the shelters to see if anyone has called looking for him (I don't know if they keep day-to-day records of who called looking for their dog, but it's worth a shot). Sometimes the newspapers even allow people to run "found" ads for free. Hopefully he has a family that is frantically searching for him -- try to make it easy for them to find you. Thanks!

The family that found him ran ads in about 10 papers for 2 weeks and called the local vets and shelters.. No one called except for me. He is a great dog, gets along with my daughter and my other boxer. He knows basic commands and doesnt run away from me at all.He likes to sneak stuff off the counter when nobody is home, but wont do it when you are in the house. He also has likes to poop in the basement. Even if he has already gone, he somehow manages to find more to leave for me. I have since put him in a crate and he seems to know what it is. But both of them pee on the sheet that is in there, even if I dont give them each a sheet they will still go and lay in it....Weird to me.....

Nothing was said about it so, maybe you could see if he has a microchip.

If you've tried your hardest and the previous people that had originally found him networked with local vets and shelters to locate his owners with no success. I don't see what else you can do. If your willing to open your heart and home and love him I think he's one lucky boy..
I feel for the poor family that lost him but I'm happy he ended up with you rather then in a shelter..I guess all you can do is keep networking so you can feel you've done 100% to find out who lost him..

We named him Buddy, tried other names but he didnt respond to anything.... He isnt microchipped unfourtunately. I have already sent him to the vets for shots and he will be fixed next month.

He is a good dog and is here to stay, we love him sooo much already.

I think it's so great that you have taken Buddy into your home. How old do you think he is?

One vet guess 5-6 and the other guessed 3-4, so we are not completely sure.

Boxer in MI

I know this is a long shot but someone stole my boxer from NE In. and I am just checking to see if the one you found is Rex he intacted male, brindle, big boy, very friendly and loving he is 4.5 years old and I miss him a lot. I have pic's of him Karen
